What are the main differences between the Famous 5 and the Tassie 5 Highlights Tours?
Famous 5 Tour:
This tour takes you through Tasmania’s rugged West Coast with two nights in Strahan. The first two days of the Famous 5 allow you to experience some of the world’s tallest trees as well as the cascading Russell Falls of Mount Field National Park. You’ll see the vast shores of Lake St Clair which is Australia’s deepest freshwater lake, the mossy rainforests of Franklin Gordon Wild Rivers National Park, Tasmania’s highest waterfall called Montezuma Falls and the expansive Henty Dunes on the wild West Coast. You also have the option of joining the Gordon River Cruise on Day 2 of this tour. Each day we look for wildlife including wombats, wallabies, echidna and platypus and hope that we are fortunate to see them in their natural habitats.

Tassie 5 Highlights Tour:
Instead of the West Coast, this tour spends the first night in Hobart and on Day 1 travels to the Tasman Peninsula to discover the convict history at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Port Arthur. Visits to the heritage townships of Ross and Richmond provide further insights into early European colonisation. While on the Tasman Peninsula, we experience some of the geological wonders of Tasman National Park such as a walk to Waterfall Bay from the impressive Tasman Arch. Lastly, this tour ensures you get a chance to see Tasmanian devils and other native animals at the renowned Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary.
